Federal Procurement Government Contracts

Federal Procurement Government Contracts

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, signed by President Barack Obama in February of 2009 have created amazing opportunities that will benefit us all.  Read the actual American Recovery and Reinvestment bill here:  http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=111_cong_bills&docid=f:h1enr.pdf

On this board I will discuss step by step instructions on getting yourself set up to qualify for the Federal Procurement Government Contracts that are available to you.  (and the best part is that there is money available to help you)

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was created in response to our immediate economic crisis to help create new jobs, and to save as many existing jobs as possible, to motivate economic mobility, and to create a mindset of accountability within the government.

According to Reuter.com President Barack Obama signed a $30 billion dollar lending bill into law in September of 2010, which is meant to create a small business lending fund for entrepreneurs, which could result in up to 500,000 new jobs.   http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE68Q4H220100927

The Small Business Jobs Act was added to increase the small business funding amounts.  According to the Small Business Administration, more then $500 have been awarded in order to support lending request under the Small Business Jobs Act.  http://www.sba.gov/recoveryq/index.html

How does this affect you?

The Federal, State and local government offers, you (the small business person) the chance to sell or provide millions of dollars of products and services to them.  They have special set-aside especially for you and it’s time you received your share.

So in the coming weeks I will be walking you though the process of getting set-up to access the Government Contract Procurement websites.  In the meantime, feel free to share any information with our forum members.

Thank you,
