Double Indemnity (Universal Legacy Series) Review I was initially going to rate this double-disc set only 4 stars, because the sole thing on the second disc is a terrible 1973 re-make of the 1944 classic. The bad imitation starring Richard Crenna, Samantha Eggars, and Lee J. Cobb seemed to be a completely unnecessary padding of this Legacy Series offering.
