She is sometimes known as Babs Windsor, and is best known for her part in the Carry On films and as Peggy Mitchell in BBC soap opera EastEnders, and is now known as something of a 'national institution'.
LONDON, Oct 28 (Reuters) - British actress Barbara Windsor
announced Wednesday that she was quitting the long-running BBC
soap opera "EastEnders" after 15 years of serving up pints and
dramatic plot twists in the Queen Vic pub.
