Iveta Benesova upset in Estoril Open
Iveta Benesova was upset by Jarmila Groth 75 64, in the second round of the Estoril Open.
“We’ve never actually played each other before, even though we’ve practiced together so many times,” Groth said. “She’s a good player, the No.1 seed, just reached the Top 30 and she played well in Miami, so it was a good win. So she knew me as well, we’ve practiced together, her coach has known
DON'T MISS:me since I was very young, so it was really just a matter of who was going to play better today.”
Groth will play next against Shahar Peer, who beat Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, 64 61.
Groth won her only match with Peer in a third set tiebreaker at the Japan Open last year.
“Hopefully I can play like I did today and the match goes the same way,” Groth said.
