Vukcevic and Collins to leave Virtus Bologna
The 27-year old Collins arrived to Bologna this summer from Carife Ferrara. He appeared 23 times in Serie A averaging 11.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He got injured at the beginning of the season and was sidelined for a while. According to Italian media, Collins is not the first option on PG position by the Head Coach Lino Lardo. Before Canadian Solar Bologna, Andre Collins spent three years with Carife Ferrara. On season 2008/09 the team competed in SerieA, where Collins had 17.5 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 3 apg and 3 spg for 30 games.
Dusan Vukcevic is also close to leave the club. He joined them in January 2006 from Armani Jeans Milano. Last season Vukcevic had 8.4 ppg, 1.5 rpg and 1.4 apg for 32 games. Meanwhile, Canadian Solar Bologna confirmed three players for the next season.
They are Petteri Koponen (193-G-88), Viktor Sanikidze (203-F-86) and Michele Maggioli (212-C-77). Most probably Diego Fajardo (208-C-76) is another player who will stay with the team next year. Canadian Solar Bologna reached the Playoff Quarterfinals this season, but NGC Cantu eliminated them.
