Bass Fishing

1)  Castaic Lake....Striped bass fishing slowed way down.  A few catfish are biting near the Buoy Line along with a stray striped bass.  Bass fishing is quiet along with bluegill, etc. 2)  Pyramid Lake....Fair to good trout fishing since last weeks trout plant.  

Goomba Music recording artist and professional bass fisherman Brian Schram will be performing an acoustic set of music at The 2012 Bassmaster Classic tournament in Shreveport-Bossier City, La. His performance will be on Sunday, February 26th, just prior to the final weigh-in at the CenturyLink Center in Bossier City. Brian will be playing to an expected crowd of 9,000 attendees.

Milfoil and duck weed grasses that continue to spread throughout Back Bay are great news for anglers and waterfowl hunters. More good news comes from the state game department, which has announced it will stock thousands of largemouth bass throughout the estuary. It will be the first time the bay's shallow waters have been stocked since an experimental effort in 2009 put in 75,000 fingerlings.

Catfish are being taken below the dam. Cordell Hull. Fishing across the lake is fair. Crappie are being caught around structure in 10-12 feet of water on minnows and small jigs. Bass are being caught on crank baits and jigs in the channels.
