We’ve seen a couple of pictures of Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio on the set of Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby. The pricy Warner Bros. movie will not only feature expensive set pieces and a stellar cast, but also be shot in 3D. New we’ve come across two official photos from The Great Gatsby, and even though it’s not in 3D, you can imagine what this film will look like when we see the trailer for it in 3D.

Check out the photos from The Great Gastby below.

Having never read the book, I can tell that The Great Gatsby is something that you should be watching. Look at that cast in one the pictures, I mean Tobey Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, and Jason Clarke. Then there is the photo between DiCaprio and Mulligan embracing each other. The movie also stars Isla Fisher, Joel Edgerton, and Gemma Ward. These pictures have me already has me wanting to see more. Hopefully we will be seeing a trailer for The Great Gatsby very soon, because I just want to see more.

Here’s the official premise for Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby:

“The Great Gatsby” follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy.”

The Great Gatsby will open in theaters on Christmas Day 2013.
