Acting legend Bea Arthur died on April 25, 2009 of cancer, she was 86 years old. Bea Arthur will be best known for her portrayal as Dorothy
Zbornak in the 80s hit television comedy "The Golden Girls", and later, the not so great "The Golden Palace".
Bea Arthur joins her television husband,
Stan Zbornak, and her television mother,
Estelle Getty in heaven. All three actors will be missed down here on earth. You can see reruns of "The Golden Girls" every once in a while on Lifetime.
I grew up watching "The Golden Girls", and I have to say that Bea Arthur's character was my favorite, I am not just saying that because she recently died. I loved those long, flowing gowns on her, and her smart ass remarks to Betty White and Stanley. It might be a few years until I can watch the show again, there are just too many painful memories now. With Bea Arthur now dead, that leaves two remaining Golden Girls. Who will be the last one standing?
