A Short Introduction to Female Body building

Dating only back to the late 1970s, the relatively young world of female bodybuilding has nevertheless been extremely competitive and active, with multiple types of competition. A recent competition added is figure bodybuilding, where participants are assessed on how toned the muscle is as opposed to how large they are. Women who wish to avoid building muslce mass and vascularity excessively can avoid the extremes of bodybuilding, and instead compete in figure bodybuilding. Similar to a pageant setup, the competition is evaluated from all angles, over a few different rounds, which depends on the company.

Even though bodybuilding for women has been around for about forty years, the first female bodybuilding national event was in 2001, when the National physique Committee held the Figure Nationals, and it became a professional event in 2003. The judging of bodybuilders depends on more than just the muscles. You'll notice that the competitors have very little body fat and good definition. They are females who can be any age, and they are segmented by height. The Judges will solely be seeking out tightly toned and visible muscles without visible ripples. For identification purposes and aiding in judging, contestants will don a number and will, typically, wear ornamental, brightly colored two piece swimsuits known as pose suits.

You can find various organizations who have all strived to allow the bodybuilding society to interact and compete together on an annual basis. Both the Figure International and Figure Olympia, considered specialized events, are IFBB-certified. While other organizations hold figure bodybuilding competitions, the rules vary from region to region. Persons with an interest in muscle physique, beyond that niche market there is not much mainstreme coverage of the various competitions and events, popularty of the sports is well-known among those already in the bodybuilding sport circuits. Constantly in conjunction with fitness and regular bodybuilding competitions, one or two mainstream sports networks have carried coverage of figure bodybuilding competitions.

For women, bodybuilding is not usually a good career choice. Unlike men, women bodybuilders have a hard time getting sponsors and award money. A significant number of competitive bodybuilders started competition as an extension of their daily workout regimen and maintain their professional employment. Female bodybuilders may face social stigma, as their activity doesn't fit in with widely accepted views of how women should behave and look. Figure bodybuilders usually appear slightly more masculine than normal, but they do have significantly less muscle mass than regular bodybuilders.

I have a a passion for fitness and health and my name is Dewaldt Koekemoer. Bodybuilding the natural way is what I endorse. While appearance is the prime motivation for most people, they forget that how you look on the outside is dependent on how healthy you are on the inside.
