Edward Michael Grylls, nicknamed Bear, (born June 7, 1974) is a British adventurer, writer and television presenter. He is best known for his television series Born Survivor, known as Man vs. Wild in the United States, Canada and Australia. If I had a nickel for every time I ate deer poop after getting out of a cave...Seriously though, I'd sooner take medical advice from a witch doctor before I took survival advice from Bear Grylls' show. I'll never forget the episode where he suggests using a pole-vault to leap down a rocky hillside as a means of faster travel.
