Makeup Reviews: TEMPTU Airbrush Makeup System
After hearing so much about airbrush makeup being used on celebs and in movies to create a flawless look, my makeup-obsessed self was more than a little curious. A friend at my last job (yes, my little bunnies, I unfortunately do have a day job beyond trying glorious beauty products non-stop) raved about her airbrushing system, so I finally decided to bite the bullet and try this airbrush thing on for size. I picked up the TEMPTU Makeup AIRBrush System, and I have to say I could not be happier that I did.
Daunting though all its hardware may be at first glance, the TEMPTU is actually quite easy to use: once you’ve got the hose connected and the compressor plugged in, all you need do is attach the pod with your choice of makeup in it and go! (I’d recommend having one of the kind ladies at Sephora shade-match you to your foundation, though — it’s difficult to tell from the outside of the box, and they were extremely helpful to me.) Once you begin applying, you’ll see your new flawless look start to emerge. The coverage is perfectly buildable and once you get used to playing with it, I promise you’ll be hooked. Plus, there’s a Zen quality to doing my makeup now – feeling the cool mist over my face in the morning has become a very relaxing and spa-like experience.
There’s way more to TEMPTU than just foundation, of course (I use a combination of #004 Sand and #005 Beige, but I’m high-maintenance like that) — in fact, they’ve just debuted a new line of colors with blushes like Sheer Berry and Blushing Coral. (Is it lame to call them Airblushes? Oh yeah. I went there.) My very favorite products in the air pod line are the AIR pod highlighters – they add beautiful dimension to your now-perfect complexion. I have mine in Pink Pearl, but I intend to pick up all the highlighters eventually.
