How to Use Olive Oil in Your Beauty Arsenal

If you haven’t used olive oil before in your beauty home treatments it can be a bit difficult and you may end up taking a bath in the olive oil, which by the way is not such a bad idea. However less is more when working with olive oil on your skin and hair.
If you don’t want to do the mixing yourself you can easily buy beauty products that contain olive oil, just do a search for beauty products olive oil on Google as an example.

Below you will find 5 examples of how to use olive oil.

  1. Use olive oil instead of shaving cream. The oil will soften hair and give you a close, smooth shave. Men with sensitive skin can also use the oil on their beards.
  2. Soak your finger nails in warm olive oil to soften cuticles and strengthen fragile nails.
  3. Humidify dry areas of your body by rubbing olive oil on the dry spots. A small amount is enough and can be used on dry feet or anywhere else you want to moisturize. Olive oil can also be used in baths to help soften the skin. Blend the olive oil with other essential oils like lavender when you want to pamper yourself.
  4. Remove makeup by dabbing a small amount of olive oil on a cotton pad. Also mascara will come off effortless. The olive oil will remove the makeup just as good as commercial brands.
  5. Rinse and soak your hair with olive oil to help solve issues like fragile hair. To thicken hair, soak your hair in around 1/2 cup of olive oil and wrap a towel around your head for 30 minutes. To help fragile or colored hair, mix a 1/2 cup of olive oil with one beaten egg, rinse your hair with the solution, put on a plastic cap and leave on for 30 to 45 minutes. Use the treatments weekly to improve the weakness of your hair.
