Two Sheets in the Wind is Better Than One
No, not a drinking effects comment but rather a comment on finally giving the primary set of sheets on the bed a break from constant laundering. I've always liked the feel of flannel sheets because, in my opinion, they are the fabric equivalent of comfort foods like meatloaf and mashed potatoes with gravy. Flannel envelopes you in bed like a friendly glove. The downside of flannel is that it can get a bit warm when it warms up outside. Okay, flannel lost this round to Egyptian cotton sheets, the 400 thread count kind. More threads the better the sheets, just like tailored men's shirts. I do have to admit that the sheets are very comfortable and feel quite nice so it was a good choice for the second set for the new bed. I did learn one important thing however. Make sure you measure a pillow top mattress from the bottom to the top to make sure the bottom sheet will grab all four corners at the bottom. We took a guess at 18 inches and we got the right one, we were lucky that time because I didn't want to drive all the way back to the store to exchange them.
