An investigation has been launched after fire wrecked a Spotland Road takeaway. Police believe the fire at Hafiz fast food shop may have been started deliberately. Fire crews were called to the scene at about 3am on Wednesday. Flames had already spread to the flats above the takeaway in the three-storey building.
