TWITTER A TRIPEL OR TWO, WON'T YOU?
Looks like the first organized beer tasting session is gonna take place on Twitter on Saturday evening at 8PM EST. I say "organized" because some of you may have witnessed our impromptu tasting session on New Year's Day on Twitter for the Aleuminati's collaborative "Indoctrinator" Belgian-style Dubbel. We sort of stumbled into it, but it was a smashing, tweeting success by all accounts.This session - Twitter Taste LIVE! Beer - is sure to be a good one too. Both the organizer, Chris Gillis, and event co-host, Jay Brooks, are Aleuminati Aleumni as well (I made that up myself!) Chris is a newcomer to the network, while Jay was one of the founding members!
The beers to be tasted? How about the theme "Intro to Trappist Ales"? Chimay Dubbel (Red label) and Tripel (white label) will be enjoyed, along with the terrific Dubbel and Tripel from Westmalle. Nice.
Not sure I can make it for the tasting, but I'm gonna try. I have three of the four beers already in the cellar ... shame to miss out. But you don't have to!
