The Texas Rangers have avoided arbitration by agreeing with first baseman Ben Broussard on a $3.85 million, one-year contract this weekend.Acquired in a swap that sent infielder Tug Hulett to the Seattle Mariners last month, the 31-year-old Broussard hit .275 with seven homers and 29 RBIs last season.
