Ben Gibbard is almost officially single. The Death Cab for Cutie frontman's wife Zooey Deschanel filed for divorce this week, not long after the pair separated. The paperwork was filed in L.A., and lists the couple's date of separation as October 31.A rep for the pair said the decision to call it quits after two years of marriage was "mutual and amicable." Rating: I feel like I’ve been waiting for Death Cab For Cutie to step up to the plate and produce a record that blows me away for the longest time. It seems as though they have produced some really grand songs, but have not necessarily excelled at making a cohesive album that strikes listeners with hit after hit, at least not for a long while.
