Ben Gibbard and Zooey Deschanel Split Up

As you may or may not have heard by now, Death Cab for Cutie's frontman Ben Gibbard has called it quits with indie 'it' girl Zooey Deschanel. After two years of marriage, the couple announced that they'd be splitting up amicably, noting that there was "no third party involved."While Deschanel enjoys the success of her new television show New Girl, Gibbard continues to tour with his band, who have built an extensive following thanks to their brand of indie pop that doesn't shy away from heartfelt love songs and brutally detailed break-up tracks. So, we suppose the silver lining here is that we may end up with one hell of a new Death Cab album in the near future.
