Bernard McGuirk
Long time producer Bernard McGuirk, who first called the Rutgers team “some hard-core hos,” has also returned to work. He works with Don Imus.
Imus is back on Monday
Don Imus makes his return to radio on Monday morning when his new morning radio show returns on WABC 770.
Imus faces a huge challenge. As the New York Daily News points out, "Without losing his edge... he's got to make clear that he knows what was so unacceptable about cracking offhandedly in April that the Rutgers women's basketball team looked like "nappy headed ho's."
The show will also be simulcast from 6-9am on RFD-TV. Imus' sidekick Charles McCord, engineer Lou Ruffino and producer Bernard McGuirk will all return to the show.
Advertisers weren't as quick to jump from WCBS to WABC, but Imus and his crew hope that in time the big dollars will start to roll in once again.
