Bernard Pollard: “I Really Hope the Giants Put a Thrashing on the Patriots”

By Robert D. Cobb on  From profootballzone.com
Baltimore Ravens safety Bernard Pollard made an appearance on KILT in Houston with Josh Innes and Rich Lord and was asked about his thoughts on Super Bowl XLVI between the Patriots and the Giants. “My opinion? I really hope the Giants – I just hope they just put a thrashing on the Patriots. I really do,”  said Pollard.  “To lose to a team like that the way we played. We played a good game. You gotta look at the experience of the team. You gotta look at what do the Giants have? They got a...Read Full Story

By cthorman on  From arrowheadpride.com
photo source  Happy Friday, AP. Not a lot of Kansas City Chiefs news out there this morning. Here's what I could find. Have to go tweet-free this morning. Sorry. Also, be sure to tune in to watch USA play in the World Cup this morning. I believe the match starts at 10am Eastern time. There’s one name to keep in mind when it comes to the situation between the Chiefs and Jarrad Page, their unsigned restricted free agent safety: Bernard Pollard. Wondering why the Chiefs don’t cancel their tender...Read Full Story

By cthorman on  From arrowheadpride.com
More photos » J. Meric - Getty Images Browse more photos » On Tuesday, Aug. 31 the Kansas City Chiefs and the rest of the NFL will be required to trim their rosters from 80 to 75 players. Five days after that and they'll be getting it down to 53 players. That's over a third of the (current) team that will be released in less than two weeks. In that time, the Chiefs will have practice at their own facility as well as two more preseason games. Certainly a lot can change. Many of the...Read Full Story

Texans' Bernard Pollard: The DMX of the Defense

By mc3sportsmedia on  From xtrapointfootball.com
There are many people who are passionate about their craft and what they do.  However, there are few that wear this passion on their sleeves and are elite at what they do. Growing up in Florence, South Carolina I listened to a lot of music and played lots of sports. The one thing common in these two activities are, that there had to be passion, intensity, and a battle involved. When I was listening to music, I wanted to hear someone who was dealing with something. I wanted to hear the battles...Read Full Story

Former Kansas City Chiefs Coach on Bernard Pollard

By cthorman on  From arrowheadpride.com
Former Kansas City Chiefs head coach, Herm Edwards, talked to the guys at 810 WHB about the departure of Bernard Pollard.  While Herm didn't get into whether he agreed or disagreed with the move because, frankly, that doesn't matter at this point, he talked a little bit about what kind of player he is. The words "in the box" came up a lot as Herm admitted Pollard wasn't a coverage guy. It's an interesting take from a guy who knows Pollard well.  You can listen to it here. Below, I've pulled...Read Full Story

Floor And Ceiling Set For A Couple Of Chiefs Draft Picks

By cthorman on  From arrowheadpride.com
The Chiefs are continuing to plug away at signing their seven draft picks. While it may not look like it with just one pick (S Kendrick Lewis) signed, they're pumping away at getting all these guys into camp. No first rounders and only one second rounder have signed so we've got a while before we start hearing about Eric Berry, Dexter McCluster and Javier Arenas. There are two Chiefs that have had the floor and the ceiling set -- in other words, the player before and after them has signed...Read Full Story
