*Years after his tragic passing, comedian and actor Bernie Mac is being honored with a street named after him in hometown of Chicago. According to WBBM Newsradio, the West 69th Street, where Mac grew up will inherit his name and be called  Bernie Mac Street. Yesterday, [Feb 28.] the city of Chicago honored their son, the late Bernie Mac with an honorary street sign, ‘Bernie Mac Street’ close to the home where he grew up. Mac’s daughter, his widow, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and hundreds of others came out to honor the ‘King of Comedy’, who died in August 2008 at age 50 from pneumonia complications.
