Former Irish Prime Minister made a gift of cufflinks in gold

Ireland's former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has donated a pair of gold cufflinks to go under the hammer for a charity auction.One of the accessories features an Irish flag, while the other depicts the American flag and each of the pieces is framed in yellow gold http://socialworkdegreesonline.net/.According to the Irish Times, the pair are just one of the lots in an auction to raise money for Professor John Crown's Cancer Clinical Research Trust at St Vincent's Hospital.The event, Jewels for Cures, was set up by former cancer patient Alison McCormick and will take place on December 8th at Dublin's Westbury Hotel.Rosanna Davison, a former Miss World, has donated a necklace and earrings set, while Boyzone singer Ronan Keating has offered a dragon bracelet.However, the organisers are still requesting "donations of gold, precious jewellery, fine art, gold or quality designer watches, gemstones, antique or vintage costume jewellery [and] designer jewellery", along with designer handbags to auction off.A pre-auction viewing of all of the donated items is scheduled from December 1st at the Design Centre in Powerscourt Townhouse Centre.
