The Best and Worst Dressed at the Kentucky Derby
Getty Images.Were it not for the Kentucky Derby (and, of course, Aretha Franklin), the U.S. would be a sad place for ostentatious hats. But the ladies at this year's event did not disappoint!
Kris and Kim Kardashian make a fabulous mother-daughter team, dressed to the nines in matching black and white outfits. Their dresses are simple, classy, and absolutely perfectly matched to their elegant hats.
Cycle 3 America's Next Top Model winner Eva Marcille (neé Pigford) also picked white for the races, accessorizing her big-bowed LWD with a black belt. I'm not crazy about the shoes, but I commend her for her feathered hat.
Brooke Shields also wore white, although she paired hers with nude strappy heels and a horrid blue pancake hat.
She doesn't even look comfortable in it.
LeAnn Rimes' experience in the country music business obviously prepared her well for events like these. Well done!

Lynn Whitfield forgot one of the most important field tests for choosing a dress: if your belly button is visible through the fabric, it's a no.
