Celebrations Spotlight: Beth Ann Troy and Gennaro Marsico
Beth Ann Troy, 31, and Gennaro Marsico, 33, wed on November 5, 2010. They now reside in Moon Township.
Q: How did you meet?
Beth: We dated 11 years ago when we were in college at Saint Vincent.
Who introduced you?
Beth: Our mutual friend, Natalie Fanell Bard, introduced us. Appropriately, she was also one of my matrons of honor!
Q: Where did you each grow up?
Beth: I grew up in Latrobe and Gennaro grew up in Beaver Falls.
Q: Who proposed? How?
Beth: Gennaro proposed New Year's Eve 2009 at 11:43 p.m. at the First Night celebration Downtown. He sent me a text message with a picture of the ring, which read, "Will you spend forever with me?" I said "Yes" and we both cried. It was the absolute best New Year's Eve!
Q: Where were you married? Why did you choose that site?
Beth: We were married at Saint Vincent Basilica in Latrobe because we both went to college there and it was the church that I attended when I was growing up.
Q: Where's the reception and honeymoon? Why did you choose those sites?
Beth: The reception was at Stratigos Banquet Centre in North Huntingdon. We honeymooned in Antigua.
