Steelers linebacker James Harrison is his own man. That we know. He’s not a very talkative guy, and maybe it’s the fact he was cut three times in his career that has made him seem a bit unhappy when it comes to dealing with the media and the such. Harrison's agent, William Parise, says 2-year-old James Harrison III was released late Tuesday afternoon. He says the boy is doing fine and that his father is missing practice today to be with the boy. Parise says he's trying to find a place for the dog so it doesn't have to be euthanized. Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison cashed in on his incredible 2008 season by agreeing to a new contract that is worth $51.175 million over the next six seasons. Harrison was the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year last season and had a 100-yard interception return before halftime in the Steelers’ Super Bowl victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Steelers Linebacker James Harrison’s name has been in the news a lot lately with the whole White House fiasco, but Friday there was some real disturbing news in regard to Harrison’s two-year-old son. Reports today state that Harrison’s pit bull bit his son in the thigh, but the boy is expected to recover though he remained hospitalized the rest of the day, the player’s agent said. The agent, William Parise, told the AP that James III was bit after his mother let the dog out of its pen Thursday afternoon. The outlook for James Harrison III, the two-year-old son of Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison, is positive two days after he was attacked by his father’s pit bull, according to the Associated Press. Bill Parise, the agent who represents Harrison, said that the toddler is “doing well,” as he recovers from a bite on his leg at a Pittsburgh children’s hospital. Per the report, it’s anticipated that the boy will stay in the hospital over the weekend.
