Drew Brees' record-setting season has earned the New Orleans quarterback the 2011 Associated Press NFL Offensive Player of the Year award. Brees shattered Dan Marino's 27-year-old mark by passing for 5,476 yards, and his 468 completions broke Peyton Manning's 2010 record of 450. As a fan of the New Orleans Saints, I often got the chance to watch Wllie Roaf dominate opposing linemen. An offensive tackle for the Saints (1993-2001) and the Chiefs (2002-2005), Roaf was consistently one of the league's best players while active .  

As a fan of the New Orleans Saints, watching Super Bowl XLVI was bittersweet. I was happy to see New Orleans native Eli Manning grab his second Super Bowl MVP award by leading the New York Giants to a 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots.
