Who sang Bette Davis Eyes? Kim Carnes is the singer of the iconic song Bette Davis Eyes and for that she won her Grammy Award. She has said that her distinct and raspy voice came from the many hours she has spent in smoky bars and clubs singing while trying to break into the music business. The original submission to Kim Carnes of the song was rejected but after a whole new instrumental arrangement was made that the song was accepted which in turn became a huge domestic and international hit. Her performances in Dangerous (1935) and Jezebel (1938) earned her Oscars. She is best known for her character Margo Channing in All About Eve (1950). Spring is here, or at least that is what the weather seems to be screaming. I had a vintage shopping frenzy this morning, I think it was induced by caffeine, either way, there are now eight handbags smiling at me from my bedroom floor.
