These 5 Biggest Moments from the ‘Love Actually’ Sequel Are What Dreams Are Made Of
How hard did you cry while watching ‘Red Nose Actually’? BE HONEST.
Love is still all around us!
Fortunately, we didn’t have to wait till Christmas for the Love Actually sequel to drop. The highly-anticipated, mini-reunion aired during NBC’s Red Nose Day Special on Thursday night, and it was truly spectacular.
Understandably, Emma Thompson’s character Karen is missing from the sequel due to the death of her on-screen partner, Alan Rickman. Still, the returning cast members put their best foot forward to give us exactly what we had wanted: A wonderful glimpse into their present-day lives.
Although there are many great moments in the sequel, there are 5 in particular that truly stand out. Keep reading to find out what they are.
1. Prime minister down!
The first rule of being prime minister: When Drake’s “Hotline Bling” comes on, you must shake what your mama gave you. Unfortunately for David, getting older has only brought him brittle bones and worsened motor skills.
2. Lost in translation and totally in love.
Jamie is still wearing those outdated turtlenecks and he looks damn fine in them. Of course, his inability to speak Portuguese is still a major problem, which is why he thinks Aurelia is talking about stir-fry when she’s actually trying to tell him that she’s pregnant with their forth child. Gosh, get it together Uncle Jamie.
3. Patrick Dempsey’s McDreamy cameo.
Finally, Sarah’s romantic life is in full bloom and she’s got a hunky husband to prove it. Although Sarah is still a workaholic, now she has a doting and dedicated lover to come home to. Get it, girl.
4. Reunited and it feels so good!
Sam and Joanna are brought together again because, clearly, their love story is written in the stars. The real icing on the cake is when she asks Daniel for Sam’s hand in marriage, and this time, there's no airport security to evade.
5. Mend your heart by marrying a supermodel.
While Juliet and Peter are still happily married, Mark is still all about the cue cards. This time, though, Mark reveals some new facial hair and shows off his beautiful wife, Kate Moss. Who knew rejection and heartbreak were the key to landing a supermodel wife? Take notes, people.
