Wal-Mart will open its first store in India by the end of 2008 under terms of a joint venture with Indian telecom giant Bharti Enterprises.
STD call at 1.5 Rs from Bharti Airtel - Roaming cost Rs 1 per minute

India technology news: 28-4-2008: Good news Bharti Airtel subscribers who make STD calls for long duration. Now you can talk more with your beloved ones and need not to watch the clock agaih & again. Bharti Airtel the private telecom operator slashed its mobile STD rates and incoming roaming charges.
According to the new tariffs plans, STD would now be charged at the rate of Rs. 1.50 per minute from its previous price of Rs 2.65/per minute and incoming roaming would cost Re 1 per minute.
The new tariffs would be applicable from 30th April onwards.
Millions of Bharti Airtel customers will get the benefit from this.
