Airtel DTH - HD REC booking / Refund

I called up the Airtel DTH callcenter on 7th Feb for getting an additional Multiroom connection (HD REC), for our current connection our customer ID is 3000483126. The callcenter lady (Priti) gave me details of the package and told me that it will cost me Rs 4190/- for a HD Recorder (Multiroom Connection), this was inline with what your website says as well (Rs 4299)... I paid using my credit card for Rs 4190 using IVR and was given an ID 18680845 (not sure if this a transaction ID or Booking ID)...
Even before she could thank me for the booking, and on the same call, a person claiming to be the Team Leader (Mr Rupesh Dutta) came on line and said that she had given me the wrong amount and i had to pay Rs 1000 (ONE THOUSAND more).. without giving any basis, i argued that even the website said that the amount is around four thousand, then why is he demanding 1000 more.
I asked him to send me a mail to that effect, which he has and he has been insisting that either I pay the amount of cancel the booking. (Since I have taken the printout of the website page, as well as the email from Airtel, coupled with the recorded conversation, and teh debited amount..i can go to consumer court for illegally demanding Rs 1000 extra AFTER placing the order, and not refunding me the amount paid).
However, I decided against it and have been writting and calling up the call center to cancel my booking and refund... The call center invariable cuts the call, niether is willing to help or try and sort out the problem... finally i asked for Mr Rupesh, i was told he will call back in 2 mins!... still waiting for his calls.
What surprises me is!!!
- Is the call center equipped or has knowledge of the correct offers/prices
- Or is this a plot/ploy to extract more money from the consumer (as Mr Rupesh never stepped in during my almost 20 min call with the callcenter to tell me that the amount was wrong)
- This is the second time this has happened, when the call center is not aware of the prices, as few months back, i had tried to book the same HD recorder, no one could give me the prices, finally i gave up... only that time i had not paid...
Finally if this is service level provided by such a large and reputed company, wonder how the services or how its larger services that it provides are.
Lastly - i also wrote to the grievence cell.... guess what - NO RESPONSE!.
Will someone repond now?.
