Seek the Lord

The Bible always tell us to seek after God and his way. "Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore." (Psalm 105:4) In fact, we are encouraged to seek Him with our all in order that we may find Him." "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13) Jesus said, "seek and ye shall find." (Matthew 7:7) Even as we seek Him who is above all things and created them, He also searches us in like manner. "I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." (Jeremiah 17:10)

The book of Philippians teaches that the Christian life focuses on seeking Jesus Christ, and the pursuit of closeness or intimacy with God. The key of your walk with Him remains in the degree of your focus and desire to be with Him. Seek Christ above all things. (Philippians 1:21; 3:7-8) Find His righteousness which is found in the name, power and person of Jesus; through the power of His resurrection. (Philippians 3:9-11) Seek a Christ-like humility. (Philippians 2:5-7) Find God's will for the believer. (Philippians 2:12-13) Seek our divinely appointed goal. (Philippians 3:14) Find the prize of eternal salvation. (Philippians 3:14) Seek all things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, and praise worthy. (Philippians 4:8) Find the peace and presence of God. (Philippians 4:9)
