Righteousness speaks of the state of being right, or conforming to a standard of correctness. So, a righteous person is one who stands right with God. Many people do not want to confess that they are righteous, because they know their shortcomings in being and doing all they should. They believe they are being humble by not confessing they are righteous. Sometimes, to try to prove their unrighteousness, they will quote Romans 3:10, which says, “As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one.” But we must not stop with verse 10. Verses 20-24 say, “Therefore by the deeds of the law ... Read Full Story

HAPPY FRIDAY! I pray all is well with everyone and you're enjoying the end of another workweek. I'm doing well, TGIF! I'm so happy the weekend is here. They postponed the game tonight, I'm guessing because of the rain. It'll be held tomorrow at Bishop McNamara at 2pm. I'm so grateful, because it's supposed to be a little warmer, and sunny. It also gives the boys one more day to get prepared. A lot of people have already written them off, but I think they'll put up a good fight. I have a leadership meeting at church tomorrow, and we're discussing the option of ... Read Full Story

HAPPY WEDNESDAY! I pray all is well with everyone, and you're enjoying this rainy hump day. I'm doing well, a little tired, but overall feeling pretty good. I’m in a bit of a sullen mood today, after hearing the news of the John Mohammed’s execution. I know the punishment fit the crime, but I can't help but feel sad for the lost of yet another life. There are more harsh punishments for theft and robbery, ... Read Full Story

HAPPY WEDNESDAY! I pray all is well with everyone, and you're enjoying another beautiful "hump day". I'm doing great! I was feeling a little under the weather earlier today, but I think it's only allergies. With all the fuss about the Swine flu, and the differences between the flu and a cold, every time I get the sniffles or a headache, I always become a little concerned. I've had my Flu shot, but I don't think I'll get the Swine Flu vaccine this year. I wash my hands often, keep my Purell handy, take my vitamins, and pray without ceasing, so I think I ... HAPPY TUESDAY! I pray all is well with everyone, and you're enjoying another beautiful day. It's terrific Tuesday and there's a lot going on in the world, such as new music and movies, and it’s Election Day. Today we're responsible for electing a new Governor in the Common Wealth of Virginia. I have to confess I haven't been following the coverage on this race, and if I were to vote today, I wouldn't know which person to choose. I'm not into politics as much as I should be, so I could’ve use some help today. I pray that the best person wins. Time is ... Read Full Story
