In New England, it’s “In Bill We Trust”, but to the rest of the country, not so much. Trust us, we cover the Patriots and well, to be kind, most responses aren’t very civil from other cities. Bill Belichick is the beloved leader of the northeast. He represents the attitude Bostonians live everyday. The northeast lifestyle is a hardly laid back style. Everyone is in a rush and we expect results in everything we touch.
Belicheat is what we hear most and that the Patriots illegally win every game by doing anything within their powers to get the W. We even heard that New England needs to win “the right way” (I guess they've been winning the wrong way?) and prove that they can win honestly.
Okay, Spygate seemed like such a horrendous thing, we mean with world hunger and all, how could a coach do such a thing. While the rest of the country assassinates Belichick’s character, Patriots fans cheer their exalted leader.
We had one comment where the commenter wrote “Belichick has no honor...", and if we disagreed, we "shouldn’t have children”. That's a little harsh. We’re not cheering on an axe murderer folks, just our hometown coach.

Some responses were so vile, we can’t print them, and of course some endless rants with bad spelling and serious grammar issues. We attribute that to their blood pressure rising so high, drowning their hatred of Belichick by penning a scribe or two.
Back to the subject, “Why so serious, people?” and what did Belichick do to you?
Switching planes in Toronto, we had to stop at customs and were running late to make our connection. As we arrived at the booth, the customs agent, a Steelers fan, noticed our Patriots hats and replied “You know you guys stole three super bowls from us?”
A Pittsburgh fan isn’t a person you want to meet as a Patriots fan in another country, it’s just really bad. We held back all possible responses that could keep us in Canada for an indeterminate amount of time.
Belichick can even cause havoc on the border, who knew?
