DreamWorks Animation’s ‘Me & My Shadow’ Adds Bill Hader, Josh Gad, and Kate Hudson

As a man of many comedic talents, Bill Hader is basically the go-to-guy for anything ranging from dark comedies to light hearted ones. According to Heat Vision, the Saturday Night Live star will be lending his vocal talents to an animated movie titled Me & My Shadow. The trade adds that Hader will join Book of Mormon lead Josh Gad and actress Kate Hudson in the DreamWorks animated movie about a shadow named Stan, who dreams to deattach himself from his boring and mundane master, Stanley. But when there is a crime in the shadow community, Stan and Stanley are forced to stop a more powerful shadow bent on taking over the world.

The movie seems to be in the same vein of the story of Peter Pan and his Shadow. According to the report, Hudson will play as the love intrest to Stanley, while Gad will play as Stanley. The movie will reportedly be a hybrid of live action footage and computer animation. So Me and My Shadow will be this generation’s Who Framed Rodger Rabbit. The movie is set for a November 13th, 2013 release.
