The 38th Bluegrass Festival has come to Telluride and now is long gone. What happened? Attendance set records with over 11,000 people in attendance each day of the 4 day gathering. The highest day was 11,881 on Saturday. There were also less problems than usual for intoxication and parking numbers were down, leading to increased camping. The Real Estate Sales data has arrived for March 2011 for San Miguel County, which encompasses Telluride and Mountain Village. Overall March dollar volume for real estate sales was at $27.3 million, which outperformed March, 2010, 2009 and 2008, so that is good news. Overall, year to date, we are off in dollar volume by 19 percent, as compared to 2010, but ahead of number of transactions by 23%, which is attributed to the many local/deed restrcited sales at Gold Run, Entrada and Mendota...Read Full Story
