For those who loved Snoopy and Peanuts animated cartoons, today is a very sad day. Bill Melendez, the 91-year-old animator who created the classic Peanuts TV specials died Tuesday at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif. Bill Melendez was the animator of the classic Peantus TV specials and also the voice of Snoopy. He was the only person Charles Schulz trusted to bring his comic characters to life. He died Tuesday, September 2, 2008. He was 91-years-old.
