Peanuts Animator Bill Melendez Dead at 91

For those who loved Snoopy and Peanuts animated cartoons, today is a very sad day. Bill Melendez, the 91-year-old animator who created the classic Peanuts TV specials died Tuesday at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif. Born in Mexico in 1916, Melendez was the only animator Charles M. Schulz, the creator of the Peanuts comic strip, trusted to animate his work.
