Billy Currington Announces Eleven Upcoming Tour Dates - 2012-01-23
Platinum-selling country star Billy Currington is set to kick off his first headlining tour across the country on March 24th in Biloxi, MS. Billy, who recently started work on his fifth studio album, has announced eleven dates for his much-anticipated 2012 tour that will make stops in major cities including San Antonio, Knoxville, Wallingford, and Charlotte. Billy will perform his #1 hits, including “People Are Crazy,” “Pretty Good At Drinkin’ Beer,” “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right,” “Let Me Down Easy,” and his current single climbing the charts, “Like My Dog.” Label mates David Nail and Kip Moore will join Billy on the tour. “I have learned a lot over the years touring with some of the biggest names in country music,” said Billy. “I am excited to put that knowledge to use on this tour by giving fans a great show as a thank you for all of their support. It will also be a great way to test out some new music!”
Billy received rave reviews out on the road on Kenny Chesney’s ‘Goin Coastal’ tour last year and is ready to head out on his first headlining tour. Set to join Billy on the road are MCA Recording and Grammy-nominated artist David Nail, who just released The Sound Of A Million Dreams, his highly anticipated sophomore album, and Kip Moore, who will release his debut MCA Nashville album, Drive Me Crazy, later this year. Since Billy’s debut in 2003, he has sold over 11 million units, earned multiple RIAA Gold and Platinum certifications, had seven #1 hit single, ten Top 10 singles, been nominated for two Grammy Awards and multiple CMA and ACM Awards.
