Billy Poole dies while filming for a Warren Miller Ski Video

If you've ever seen a Warren Miller ski film, you've probably watched with awe and wonder as skiers huck off of huge cliffs and rocket down massive backcountry mountains.  Some of the scenes from Warren Miller films just mind-boggle.

Unfortunately this year one of those scenes did more than mind boggle, it killed.  Billy Poole, a 28 year old extreme skier, died while filming with the Warren Miller crew.  He was in deep powder and took a big fall, perhaps hitting some rocks or logs below the surface. 

Poole was a rising star in extreme skiing.  He was sponsored by Black Diamond.
