Gala bingo had no option but to give a Glasgow OAP a lifetime ban from all of their bingo halls. The 96 year old from Pollock was attending her local club when she noticed that someone was sitting in her favourite seat, she abruptly told them to move or suffer ‘dire consequences’ the assistant manager walked over to try and sort out the situation, the 96 year old then punched him in the left eye knocking him to the floor.

Some of the onlookers were shocked at what they had witnessed saying she was notorious for shouting and being disruptive but never thought that it would have come to this.

Gala bingo commented saying “ we cannot allow any of our staff to be attacked physically or verbally in anyway, we have considered the ladies past record and have no option but to impose this lifetime ban”.

In other news the signature of the new speaker at the House of Commons has had to removed from an Early Day Motion (EDM) which will bring up the issues of increased taxation on traditional land based bingo halls. Mr John Bercow was disappointed about the removal of his name but as a Government minister he is not permitted to put his name on EDM.

There are a few ministers that agree that the tax hike has to looked at in a farer way as at the moment many smaller clubs will lose out and have to close their doors. However there are just as many that think the hike is justified, we will have to wait and see how this dispute will pan out.
