how can you tell it’s chicken pox???
yes anyone whos hasnt had chicken pox or hasnt gotten the vaccination 4 it can get it no matter their age. if hes scratching the areas that the red bumps apear on and if there seems more than the day before send him to a doctor to get it treatedChicken pox has a very characteristic appearance. The chicken pox rash begins on the trunk and spreads to the face and extremities. The chicken pox lesion starts as a 2-4 mm red papule which develops an irregular outline (rose petal). A thin-walled, clear vesicle (dew drop) develops on top of the area of redness. This “dew drop on a rose petal” lesion is very characteristic for chicken pox. After about 8-12 hours the fluid in the vesicle gets cloudy and the vesicle breaks leaving a crust. The fluid is highly contagious, but once the lesion crusts over, it is not considered contagious.

Babies and others who are not vaccinated against chicken pox or who have never had chicken pox can get it. It can be a very minor disease in children, but can be quite serious in adults.I self-diagnosed my own chicken pox when i was 9. I am no dr, but we have a medical book at my parents house called “take care of yourself” and I read up every so often as I need to know what to expect, even now as an adult. chicken pox usually appear red, may be slightly raised blisters that will eventually rupture and crust over forming a scab. (Forgive me, i am trying to help but dont have that book in front of me) .. they usually appear on the nose, face, back, legs, etc. those are common place… but chicken pox can appear anywhere on the body. Yes the other 2 yr old can get it if in contact with the 3 yr old and he does get it himself. chicken pox is caused by a form of the herpes virus and is very contagious. You should take him back to the dr and have him looked at … tell the dr about his new symptoms… if the allergy spots as you describe them appear red, flat, etc. this might be chicken pox. I think there is a vaccine out now for chicken pox too so might want to see about getting the 2 yr old vaccinated while he/she doesn’t have it yet?
I got it at 9 yrs i don’t see why he couldn’t get it at 3 yrs … kids can get just about any illness nowadays… especially if any kids in daycare have it. is the boy in daycare or around other children with a known case of chicken pox (this could be where he contracted it)? Again i’m no doctor but i am trying to help.Yes. Anyone who has not had chicken pox can get it – at any age. One of the first symptoms of chicken pox is fever, usually followed by a red rash. This red ras then develops little blisters within the red spots. These spots can initially appear as pimples, but soon develop the blisters. When the blisters pop, the liquid inside is contageous. Also, chicken pox can be transmitted by sneezing, coughing and saliva. Chicken pox has an incubation period (10 – 24 days before onset of symptoms). Once symptoms develop, you are only contageous for a few days (about 5). Chicken pox alone is not very dangerous, can be painful and uncomfortable, but not dangerous unless a very high fever; or if the lesions become infected; or it gets in the eyes or if affects the lungs – like pneumonia. It is more dangerous in adults than in small children.
my lil 3 year old nephew had fever this past saturday and sunday and on monday morning my mom took him to the doctor. he had fever on and off and was taking kids tynenol. the doctor said he didn’t have a fever and that nothing was wrong with him, but he was burning up. finally by tuesday he was okay. today we realized he had little allergy looking spots on his face arms and back. it looks like chicken pox, but i’m not sure. can a 3 year old get chicken pox, and if he does can the other 2 year old baby get it too. and if an adult never had it is it possible to get it???
