Are You an Internet Snob?

By Jaimie Dobson on  From blog.inetengineers.com
The British are a great race of snobs. There's always someone looking down on someone else whether its because of where they live, what car they drive, which supermarket they shop at or what they do for a living: as a consequence you can bet that we Brits will pigeon-hole you and will form an opinion about you based upon your social and economic status without a by-your-leave which in turn will affect how we treat you as a person. Now I'm sufficiently travelled to have seen that most societies...Read Full Story

By Carol on  From ladyhawkcj.blogspot.com
I am aiming for 100 drops in a day. So far I have not been able to do that. I figure since the drops start over at 11 pm my time I can get started on that days drops. If I get up 5am to start I might just make it. My problem is that I get sidetracked when something catches my interest and I just got to stay and read it and maybe possibly comment on it. Also I finally got my widget uploaded so I am SOMEBODY now. I will post it when I hit my 100 mark. So drop on by and visit. Ladyhawkcj View...Read Full Story

My " Arte Y Pico " From Denise Bailey

By Carol on  From carolspersonalblog.blogspot.com
I have been awarded this by Denise at KKl Primitives Blog. This is what Denise had to say; Carol's personal blog dedicated to her daughter Shannon, who has Down Syndrome.I enjoy reading about life with Shannon. One particular post that had me smiling was when Shannon's dad cut her bangs and forgot to put the scissors out of reach. Like any other child, Shannon got the scissors and proceeded to give herself a 'little' trim on the top as well, and according to Carol, there wasn't much hair left...Read Full Story

Step-by-Step Guide On How to Stop Procrastination

By Chris Jones on  From joneschris.com
Photo by woodsy According to the majority of information available on procrastination, the reason that most people procrastinate is because they have a fear of failure or a fear of success or they are just plain lazy. In contrast, I think it has nothing to do with fear but rather a lack of motivation. We all like to see results, to be able to see that we are making progress, but if we don’t perceive that what we are doing is actually helping us to get to where we want to be in life, we won’t...Read Full Story

Thanks, But No Thanks. Under What Circumstances Should You Turn Down Business?

By Jaimie Dobson on  From blog.inetengineers.com
I’ve just turned down the biggest contract of the year so far for my business. The client wanted to give us the work and we were excited at pitching for it. However despite travelling up and down the country several times whilst negotiating the deal and having beaten off the competition, I decided to walk away at the eleventh hour before pen was put to paper. Why would I do this in the current economic climate? Surely I must be one wave short of a shipwreck? You may think so; however being in...Read Full Story

Guest Blogging and an Invitation to Blog

By Jaimie Dobson on  From blog.inetengineers.com
I love writing posts for this blog, but as any blogger will tell you: generating new, original and readable posts on a regular basis that people actually look at is hard work!So I need some assistance and am turning to my fellow blog readers, businesses associates and networkers for help. Whether you maintain your own blog or not (and why wouldn't you?) - if you're involved in a business that delivers a specific product or service that helps people out by addressing a specific need; then it's...Read Full Story

Good Spelling Rules KO

By Jaimie Dobson on  From keyclicks.co.uk
On a fairly frequent basis we get emails and letters from people who are looking for employment. Such people may be looking for web design and development positions or they may be looking for administrative style jobs. We always reply even if it’s a polite rejection letter as we consider this to be good manners. After all, there’s nothing quite so disheartening than sending out letters left, right and centre when you’re looking for work and not getting a reply. Anyway, whichever way you look...Read Full Story

McDonald's Strategy: Meat, Potatoes and Coffee

By Jim Farrell on  From jpfarrell.blogspot.com
50th Anniversary McDonald's in River North, ChicagoIn a story appearing in today's Chicago Tribune, McDonald's CEO Jim Skinner reports that his biggest pet peeve is when a worker fills a cup of coffee directly from the drip dispenser instead of waiting for the pot to be filled."You don't get the best cup of coffee that way," he said.Having myself worked at a McDonald's restaurant in the St. Louis area when Skinner was getting his start with the organization as a manager trainee in...Read Full Story
