I have found for myself personally, that it is easier to write blog posts or opinion posts at the beginning of my day, and by about 2 pm I need a break. In the afternoon and evening, I find it much easier to write factual posts, make editing corrections, and do other things that take less creativity. Sometimes I get another boost of creative energy in the evenings, and find myself writing more articles then.
I think that for most people the act of writing on a scheduled basis, whether it be daily or every other day, will help you be more productive in whichever type of writing you do.
We all have days that we find writing a stumbling block. Many writers go through periods of time that they call writer’s block because they cannot think of anything to write. However, I find that just the act of sitting down with the intention to write and writing anything will help grease the wheels for more writing. And whether writing is a vocation or avocation for you, planning a regular structure to work within will keep you writing to meet the goals you have set out for yourself.
