Blogging| Sacrificing Entrecard for low bounce rate.

Yes, it seems like the high bounce rate that I am receiving in this blog is caused by Entrecard.

As you can see, I have not implemented Entrecard here for quite some time now. I intended that just to see whether my bounce rate will be affected. Before, my bounce rate was around 85 percent or above. Now, it has lowered to around 70 percent.

My only grip with this move? I suffered less visitors. As you can see in the picture, reader number was at a low, well below compared to the number of readers I got months before. However, the only good thing with this data is that, the readers that I am getting are ACTUAL readers who READ my blog ( I hope you do read my blog :D).

In my opinion, Entrecard contributed to the huge Bounce rate in this blog because Entrecard users do the "drop-and-go" technique. Once they're in your homepage, they opt to look for the Entrecard Drop icon, drop there, and BAM! clicks on the next blog and repeats the process. This is kind of unhealthy, as you there's no actual, genuine blog exchange happening. The visit is not a high quality one. I am guilty of this technique too, but as time goes by, I end up getting exhausted and also, zero quality visits.

So what's my contingency plan now? I'll go for backlinks and more backlinks, at least 10 backlinks per day through comments on other blogs. It's not easy, but I'm going there. This is the only good, organic and healthy way of creating high quality traffic (especially in the search engines). As of this time, I have 289 backlinks in total. Not much really. I have to comment more (and of course, post more here too) in order to build up my backlinks.
