The team of British scientists and engineers, has created a full-scale model car, the team intend to manage the car speed more than 1000 miles / h. Models, aptly named Bloodhound Supersonic Car (SSC), was built by a group of aerodynamic experts, who spent three years to build it. Recently demonstrated the world at Farnborough International Air Show, 42-foot long Bloodhound seems like bright blue rocket on the wheels.
While this is just a model, but the wheels are in motion to create the real deal. According to the article from the BBC, aerospace firm Hampson Industries “Will begin manufacture rear of the vehicle in the first quarter of 2011.” Apparently, another deal to create the front of the machine is near completion.
Not surprisingly, the news that soon there may be a car capable of hitting four digits on the speedometer needle will be in search. Immediately, an online search for “bloodhound car”, supersonic car and sniffer photos of the vehicle, have roared into the breach status.
Of course, nobody makes obscenely fast car just to take their picture. As soon as Bloodhound fully assembled (hopefully, in late 2011 or early 2012), the team will attempt to make new land speed record. The current record belongs to thrust supersonic car, which hit at 763 miles per hour in 1997.
By the way, some of the key people involved in vehicle traction also worked on the Bloodhound, including the driver Andy Green (who is also a fighter pilot in the Air Force). In this case, Mr. Green discusses some impressive / scary capacity of the machine. One fact that may raise your appetite that Bloodhound has a grand total of 135,000 horsepower, which is 180 times fast than the force formula 1 car.
