The show Nip Tuck Seasons 1-7 centers on the personal and professional lives of two middle-aged plastic surgery doctors, Sean McNamara and Christian Troy. Sean is a “Mr. Nice Guy”. He has a good paid-well work ( a clearing US$ 1400,000 annaually), a beautiful wife and two children.
While Christian is a “lothario”. He’s handsome and he’s wandering among females all day.
Christian is in great shape, isn’t he? He’s also a man who touches me. His misery childhood makes him become a playboy when he reaches manhood. He almost sleeps with each female who does the plastic surgery. However, it is so moving that, Christian assumes to raise Gina’s son and devotes all his love to the child; the child custody returns to the genetic father in the end and Christian has to separate from the child… It is just as what the blind girl said (who had ever had a good relationship with Christian), Christian is a good man, and deep down he’s a man who can be relied on really. The end of Season 3 again shows that Christian is a real good friend. He could not sit by and watch the “Sculptor” cutting Sean’s fingers, and he asks to cut his owns. This is called “A friend in need is a friend in deed.” We cannot be moved by their profound affection.
Sean is a good man, successful plastic surgery doctor and father of two children, and he loves his wife. His life seems quite beautiful, right? However, there exist many undercurrents in his life. The eldest son is a too much rebellious child and he’s even the result of Christian’s one night stay with his wife. Sean has raised the child for 17 years without knowing anything. No man could not afford to meet such a blow when he knows that his son is not his real son. Neither does Sean. At this moment, I thought that their brotherly relationship and their connubiality would come to the end, but they all have come through the ordeal finally. Though Sean and Julia lives separately, and Sean and Christian are not partners, all of them still support with each other. They rebuild each other’s trust and they get back the same beautiful days as ever. Both Sean and Christian raise the son and Julia still belongs to Sean.
Nip Tuck Seasons 1-7 overthrows the previous plots with sunny lives and fully reveals the weak points in human nature in stead. Is plastic surgery good or bad on earth?
