After being released by the Falcons, TE Alge Crumpler began looking for a new uniform for the 2008 Season. Among the teams calling for Crumpler’s services are the Tennessee Titans, who utilize the QB-TE tandem to move the chains. It looks like a case of MASH 4077 as both the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets will be missing some players for their contest on Sunday. Titans tight end Bo Scaife (knee) has been de-activated for Sunday’s game as has punter Craig Hentrich (calf strain). Alge Crumpler will replace Scaife while Reggie Hodges will take over the punting chores from Hentrich. The Jets will be without the services of cornerbacks Lito Sheppard (right quadriceps) and Donald Strickland (right ankle); in addition, New York will not activate wide receiver David Clowney. Bo Scaife, the Titans' leading receiver last season, will be sidelined in Week 2, the result of a knee injury suffered on what the tight end described as a "cheap shot" from Steelers LB Jerome Harrison in Week 1. Scaife caught five passes for 48 yards in that game.
