Bo Scaife VY’d It

You know you’ve made an impression in the NFL when your teammates use your name as a verb. It happens sometimes with people. Like, when you toss a major interception you Favre’d it. Or when you say something silly you Jessica Simpson’d it.

You know that Vince Young’s major storming out of a press conference was going to make teammates razz him for years to come. Well, in the team’s latest loss (to the Jags), Titan Bo Scaife dropped a key pass that could have possibility to the team on the right course. After the game, he high-tailed it out of the locker room, refusing to talk to the press. He said he wasn’t in the mood to be hasseled by the press, and joked that he wanted to avoid VY-ing it to the press.

He said, “I probably would have done some VY stuff. You know what I’m saying? I might have pulled a VY on y’all. I just wanted to avoid that and let my emotions calm down a little bit. No one felt worse than I did.”

I gotta say, I’m not down with the cry baby behavior of not wanting to talk to the press. So Vince Young just inspired a new phrase, all because he didn’t know how to act. Professionals should stand there and answer questions. It’s not all about winning, it’s about winning or losing with grace.
