Bob McDonnell (born June 15, 1954) is a Republican politician from Virginia. Robert F. "Bob" McDonnell served as Virginia's Attorney General from 2006 until 2009 when he resigned to run for governor.

Bob "Taliban Bob" McDonnell will not take office until January 16, 2010, yet his self-anointed Uber Christian mentor, Pat Robertson has already shot off his mouth and put McDonnell on the spot where - if he is going to meet the same standard the GOP applied to Obama - McDonnell needs to disavow Robertson and his remarks. Of course, by doing so he risks angering the reality challenged Christianist base that gave McDonnell the nomination. The big story tonight is New Jersey where Republican Chris Christie has been declared the winner of the gubernatorial contest against incumbent Democrat Jon Corzine. Republicans also won huge in Virginia where Bob McDonnell has taken the governor seat in a 58% to 41% victory over Democrat Creigh Deeds. The Virginia Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General seats also went hard Republican winning by similar margins over their Democrat opponents.
