Tampa Bay Lightning general manager and former Detroit Red Wings captain Steve Yzerman is scheduled to give a eulogy at Bob Probert’s funeral this morning at Windsor Christian Fellowship, 4490 7th Concession, at 10 a.m.

Red Wings enforcer Bob Probert’s family had already planned to engage in a memorial motorcycle ride to raise funds for the hospital that treated him, Windsor’s Hotel-Dieu Grace, and the Windsor Star reports that the day of the ride will now commemorate Probert’s passing on a yearly basis:

Remembering Bob Probert as a gentle giant with a big heart, fellow hockey players paid tribute to the former NHL tough guy on Friday.
At a Windsor, Ontario church, about a thousand mourners gathered to say goodbye to one of the most feared fighters in NHL history.
On Monday, Probert—who played for the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks between 1985 and 2002—died after collapsing with chest pains during a family boat trip on Lake St. Clair. He was 45.
