On March 17th

Pakistan lost a critical match to Ireland and got eliminated from the Cricket World Cup. Fans were upset. Bob Woolmer was upset. Bob told sports reporters that he’d "like to sleep on my future as coach of Pakistan." Most of us assumed that he’d step down.

On March 18th

His wife tells reporters that he emailed her, early in the morning, to explain how depressed he was about the loss. But then, at about 11:00am, he was found passed out in his room at the Pegasus Hotel. There’re no signs of forced entry and his stuff has not been stolen. He was immediately taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

On March 19th

Most of us thought that he had died of a heart attack. The guy was under a lot of stress and the loss of the game may have been overwhelming. But the Woolmer family requested an autosy to determine the cause of death.

On March 20th

Police hold a press conference and announce that Bob Woolmer’s death is suspicious. Jamaica's police commissioner Mark Shields explains that it isn’t necessarily a murder investigation yet.

On March 21st

Not much happens. All quiet, waiting for more results to be shared.

On March 22nd

The Jamaica Gleaner, a local newspaper, reports that Bob Woolmer had a broken . But Police do not confirm the rumor. However, Police do announce that they are now treating the investigation is murder.

The post mortem tests are completed, and it is announced that Bob died of asphyxia, not a heart attack. He was strangled! The investigation is now in full swing.

On April 1st

Police reveive a tip that Bob Woolmer may have been poisoned with aconite. Aconite is a poisonous drug that can be used to hide a murder because the symptoms resemble death by natural causes. The murder in vestigation continues.

On June 12th

Jamaican police announced that Bob Woolmer's death was caused by natural causes, and have stopped the murder investigation.
